it's just about the new year, folk(s).
i'd like to say that .... i'm feeling hungry.
(if you were expecting a fantastic and sentimental speech/poetry excerpt, then .... too bad, i guess.)
later, suckers. it's almost 2011. -Cat

i'm a leopard.
i've never seen quite so many stars.
before i moved to my current location, i lived in a little town in the middle of nowhere. i was able to see many stars at night; the only dilemma was that the neigbor's trees got in the way. since then, my stargazing has been very limited.
but last night, while on the plane, i chanced to look out the window a little after the moon had risen. at first i saw Orion, clear and bright, and that had me with my face plastered to the window, hands moving desperately to shade the windowpane from the glare of the cabin lights. From there, thousands of stars made themselves visible to me. it was breathtaking. all of these little lights, some i had never seen before. i was able to make out Orion, Lepus, Canis Major, something that may or may not have been Cetus, and the northern crux. as we approached my city, the clouds even cleared up and allowed me a glance at what i believe to be the evening star, aka mars. it was epic.
just thought i might share that with you.

look kids, cat pee.
urgh. so lacking in the wit department. just like everything else.
maybe my cats hate me. or they're just stupid. most likely a combination there.
sometime during my week-long vacation, they thought it would be fun to kick litter out of the cat box and pee in it. i suppose one of them decided it would be just as thrilling to pee directly on the tile. thus, upon returning from the airport, i got to spend my midnight hour scrubbing grout with a toothbrush. joy, joy.
but hey, i made it home alive, in one piece, and only about twenty minutes late. yey.
so we left my dog at a friend's; thanks to more than a few meals, stealing the other dog's food, and a bounty of treats, the small mammal isn't quite so small anymore. in fact, i do believe that the dog has almost doubled in size. urgh. you fat dog, you. you'll fall on your back and never get up. you and your tiny head.

Wolf Seeks Chess Partner

well, not much to say. unspoken vacation draws to a close, christmas shopping hell is finally over, and nuclear bombs have yet to fall from the sky. life is okay.
